Why is electronics better than mechanical solutions to control the foils?

Easy height configuration

Thanks to electronics, it has never been so easy to configure the height of the ride above the water when the boat is “flying”. With our system, you can use a waterproof keyboard or even just a smartphone to specify the height of the “flight”. Then depending on the weather, the waves conditions you can decide to select more or less height. No need to go back to the pontoon or to the beach to adjust a screw, you can configure it in the middle of the ocean if you like to.

From flat water to waves conditions

Stability and height control configurations are possible even if you navigate on the ocean. If you use a mechanical solution like a wand at the front of the boat or watercraft, each time there is a wave, the system will react and make the flap move. Soon the boat will follow the wave ripple, maybe too fast which will make the watercraft to capsize. Moreover when the boat is moving up and down, there is lost energy and higher drag.

Thanks to electronics intelligence, you an filter the waves and get a smooth ride above the water for the best performances. The data from the ultrasonic sensor will be used to do a control loop to stabilize the vessel.

Installation and setup can easily be connfigured

The first time you install a mechanical solution on a watercraft to control the height between the boat and the water, you will have to try different parameters and each time put the boat on the water, test, go out of the water, correct, out it back in the water, test again, take it out of water, correct again, etc…

With our electronic solution, you can configure everything from the palm of your hand with a smartphone.

Moreover you can have differetn programs and you can easily switch from one program to an other one : you will be able to have an easy mode for beginner sailors or an expert mode for the most experience sailors.

An other thing that electronics can do : collect data when being above the water. You can record almost everything : height, speed, GPS trace, etc… You can then use these data to be better, to correct things.
